An elegant thinline, semi-hollow body that responds beautifully to your individual playing nuances and style, the Guild Starfire V sports an arched laminated mahogany top with dual unbound F-holes, an arched laminated mahogany back and laminated mahogany sides. Paired with center-block bracing, the Starfire V has a nice warm, resonant tone with beautiful sustain. The center-block bracing also makes the Starfire V less prone to feedback when plugged into an amp. Classy looks are provided by a vibrant Cherry Red gloss finish, ivory white body binding, and black/white purfling. Also showcasing ivory white binding, the 3-piece mahogany/maple/mahogany neck is carved into a cozy vintage soft "U" profile and capped with a 9.45"-radius Indian rosewood fingerboard featuring 22 Jumbo Narrow frets and beautiful pearloid block inlays.

Equally suited for jazz, blues, rock and country, the Starfire V comes fitted with a pair of Guild "Anti-Hum" Dual-Coil pickups to deliver a classic tone that is unmistakably Guild. The electronics feature a Master Volume control, independent Tone and Volume controls that allow you to shape the sound of each pickup individually and a 3-way selector to switch between or combine the bridge and neck pickups.

Premium nickel-plated hardware includes a set of Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines, an Adjusto-Matic bridge with a rosewood base, a Guild vibrato/temolo bar tailpiece and vintage-style strap buttons.
