The Okoume tree grows in Ghana, Africa. The heavy figuring of the center
cut veneer is book-matched in the shell shop to create the feathering
that gives this exotic wood a stunning outer ply with nothing but a
clear lacquer over the natural wood. The shells themselves are North
American Hard Rock Maple, standard Collector’s Series Shells. They are
ply proportionate shells meaning that the 10″ & 12″ are the usual
thin, 6 ply Shells, the 14″ & 16″ and the Kick are the usual thin 7
ply Shells with Built in Bottom, a grain orientation that enhances low
end response. Every Collector’s Series kit comes standard with
professional appointments such as graduated True Hoops, True Pitch
Tension Rods, Stainless Steel True Pitch tension rods on the snare, the
Mag and 3P system, Suspended Tom Mounts and Full Suspension Floor tom
legs. The nickel plated hardware adds to the deep, warm look.

Sizes
include an 18″ x 22″ bass drum, an 8″ x 10″tom, 9″ x 12″ tom, 12″ x 14″
floor tom and a 14″ x 16″ floor tom. The 8″x 10 and 9″ x 12″ toms
include STM (Suspension Tom Mounts) also nickel plated. Snare not included.
